Coat Of Arms 04:18
While we all sit back and long to place the fault Each stream will slowly turn to salt Those angry words that went unheard Became a game of wait your turn Your quiet look catches my eye I wonder when but I don’t ask why I heard laughter turn into sighs From the hollow hallway ‘neath your disguise Always she danced to her own parade And the people could not see what she had made So she thought to get out and not return And she laughed with every bridge that she burned We don’t all become what we believe With a heart that tends to slide off from it’s sleeve Loved in a way that could not be received The unlined border of identity Board these windows Nail the doors Set to sail for untouched shores Long tattered friends Speak no more Cherished past Now ignored Tear down this castle Stone by stone Bury my heart Powder my bones You can’t forget what does not exist When ‘what if’ is just as real as ‘what is’ These cement boots This crystal lake This coat of arms and a heart that will never break
2.
Up on my cloud Fire away Your shots cannot reach me At least for today So pin up your points Your subtle attack I ain’t gonna see them When they’re pinned to my back Its all good or so I’m told In capitol italics Underlined in bold Even though it’s said with a positive spin All the children feel when you’re not genuine A winning smile Just a tool for impact You’ll never convert me With an approach like that What I offered you It didn’t ring true You just tended your fences While mine I unscrewed You can’t win true love with that salesman’s pitch She see’s through your tactics She won’t fall for it I’ve got no morals to preach I just speak what I feel The crust of your heart is a crust like steel Your words beg me to question that positive spin Do we really want to fake it? Why not be genuine? Can’t you see what you’re doing? Year after year Can’t you face what you’re doing? Building high up to ruin

Let the ones who try to pull you down enjoy their restless sleep Beneath your glowing voice they chose to not receive There will be hearts that hear you – however vast or few Count them as the ones who warm to the sound that you shine Their glow beamed back on you may split apart the night What they reflect can melt all you long to leave behind So lean in and gather round Gather round and lean on in Rest your fear darling Lean in close and close your eyes Celebrate your differences and let your humble heart unfold When others just talk over you they leave so much left untold Let go of putting on a show - faking away with your phony act What matters to the masses may not be where it’s at Those with the strongest push Those with the loudest voice Don’t always fly along with a bird’s eye view Nor leave room for another’s choice So if you ever find yourself confronted in their ring The sharpest jab you’ll ever throw can be found beyond their proud peak The hardest knock you can deliver to their precious game Comes along when you close your eyes darling Just let yourself Close your eyes And sing

Dead Radio 04:41
There’s nothing made for my radio Nothing fits the size of my stereo I’d rather dream Could anything Give my ears a lift Like a home-grown gift Played on this Dead radio? I’m not done playing with yesterdays People just aren’t patient in this modern age All these old ways- Still work for me Don’t put it down Just let it be And you’ll see A love Pumped back into my Dead radio I can’t forget the girl next door Though she’s moved on / ten years or more Inside this dream- She’s right next to me Sometimes I see her Reach out with a smile Just as honest as a child And all the while She goes dancing across the dial Of my Dead radio

Kungsparken 03:04
I thought you were gone for good I got used to starting over Now I’m the neighbour who wears the hood Burn the leeches off Embers turn to frost No matter what the cost I will unpin the moth And hold it to your flame The taste in your mouth electric sheen Full eclipse in your acid eye The spider spins its oily web That covers our heads in the park tonight Take the backward path Forget about the math With a tension in your chest You were cocooned in your nest And now you bruise from things to soft Leaf through what is left of us Find the photo I like best Upon the bedded moss With a kiss to lips of gloss Time will carry us I thought you were gone for good I got used to starting over Now I’m the neighbour who wears the hood

These memories Decaying streets Remember the days Sour and sweet The great yawn The dying breed My hearts gone numb Technology We’re spinning so fast And speaking a bunch Though you’ve turned our heads You’re not saying much A desperate grab To keep the focus on you What more can you make With one point of view? A space to breathe A getting in touch A peace in your head Kindness in your heart I was walking a dream Through a backyard ravine The smell of the earth Pretty and green “You live in the past” Well I don’t care what you say These pleasant memories Day after day Recalling the glow Reminds me to be Still on the lookout For the truth In my dreams

Straws 05:08
Caught a buzz with a close shave You saved the day yet you missed your wave Asleep at the wheel The deeper you sleep The better you feel A hell of a lot of opinions – with very little to say People develop, have and hold, the hardest chiseled frames Spouting “these are the good” and “these are the bad” And other false claims A child’s hood A re-wound dream So I can get serious So I can come clean You know you dump on someone’s interests When you go calling them that word Just ‘cause they have an ear for a sound that you haven’t heard So leave room in your equations for all the other answers too ‘Cause one plus one sometimes doesn’t only equal two While the questions stay the same We find the answers always change And while the answer turns a page All those questions still remain As you fuss with playing fix it with peoples hard earned ill’s You forget that your bed of roses May be someone’s bag of nails Now I know you’ve got conviction with your version of the truth Let’s not grasp another straw until we’ve seen a little proof

I I don’t feel the same Now I like the rain So keep it falling Why? Why can’t the past remain? Whenever it’s explained I put a wall up Earphones cover your ear You’re not really here With your face pressed into your phone It leaves us both alone Dollars shower your love Daggers fall from above It’s the itch you cannot scratch That tears the heart out from my back Speak We can’t speak a word In case it’s overheard And twisted all up And I Do remember a time When we weren’t this blind And boarded all up In the vacant lot next door Sardine sweepstakes floor by floor Became a tower of shoebox class Another blue sky mirrors glass Now its dollars over sense From this side of the fence When a soul gets stuck in the shade Are we convinced we’ve got it made?
9.
Universal 03:39
You’ve got beliefs built from your mind To hold above / to walk some line Folks preach their progress as a sacred find It’s just one more language that we alter with time And in the universe / nothing’s excluded No need to rehearse / our mistakes are included All that you love or really like a lot Maybe its real / maybe its not Build up opinions / then shift the lot Share common values or perhaps not And in the universe / it’s all included Treat it like a curse / though I know you can choose it Now you have her / now you don’t Love’s not to own / that’s the way it goes Give some attention / make a little time From the babe to the earth / all in the blink of an eye And in the universe / nothings excluded You can rehearse / though the moment still chooses And in the universe / it’s all included The more it’s rehearsed / the more you’re deluded And in the universe / nothings excluded No need to rehearse / our mistakes are included

A late day fog retreats Across our tired feet Crisp autumn frost On a long lost walk Two soft and cozy careful voices Fall into the long while Your warm voice / so kind Grateful just to catch your smile A sweeping breeze With a calm and present care Respectful we both can share This autumn county forest air Your warm woolen locks To not be tamed If I stopped all the clocks Would it languish this wishful flame? This thought it tries to not escape- To speak with you / as near an embrace I cannot forget The still and timeless beauty of your face A late day fog retreats Across our tired feet
