Planets 09:40
I picture myself in a faraway place a faraway time. Working for a princess on a faraway rhyme. Fall, fall from the old buckled tree. Fall, fall like feathers from leaves. A child given a new breath at last. As comes the child – the death of the past. Imagine two things larger than life being held together by something thinner than a fishing line. It leaves black bugs to critter across my mind. Headquake leaves my blood slithering from time. When you were a kid did you ever get caught thinking about dying? And did your mother ever slap you so hard you forgot you were crying? Anyways Innocence Pleasure - Older Bitter Measure. For a better place - these building blocks - Mathematic. Video tape yourself in the nude – make a picture in a frame. Transfer the shot to your mother at home – is your picture still the same? While you’re still naked step outside – see your shadow on the land. Imagine the damage you may have caused – picking up the planets in your hands. Picking up the planets by your hands - picking on the planets by the hand. Touch her where she says she’ll be free but only when she says please. Make her skies pass through her eyes once you get her disease. Moving away from the things you can’t keep to different stations not seen. Moving away from home too many times is like moving away in your sleep. Reaching the stars in the sky just not quite how you planned it. Touching you and being you in my little life – damn it! Holding my breath ‘til I just can’t stand it.

Someone dead in the swamps. Another killing on T.V. He got cut up in the face and his body was tied up to a tree. Well the cops don’t know who from when. When they shut off the scene. 10 Cameras showed up and they brought it straight from you to me. The way that it got out, the dude wanted a bride. He chose to steal one from a bed, but another man stole his life instead. You were crying in your shoes. When they told you the news. Those microphones picked up your scream real good. They gonna make a tape recording, later in Hollywood. Chorus: Gimmie Blood, Blood, Blood on the Bayou x3 Gimmie Blood. Blood on the Bayou Later on down the line. Maybe in a year or so, some fine boy will take you out to a movie show. You’ll be creeping on the edge of your seat. Tearing holes in your mans' pants. Well your hearts a gonna stop. Realize the story and tell him, “boy it’s time to go!” (chorus) X2

Went out to California searching for answers just to find me some good ol’ Rock n Roll. Took the Greyhound three days down the highway and got away from growing too old. Hit the U.S. border scared stiff and nervous at 5:45 in the A.M. Thinking my electric guitar would give me away and they’d send me back home again. Made it through the gate just as smooth as butter, no sweat from Mr. Customs Man. Drove into Detroit and never looked back, my Rockin’ Rollin’ days just began. All of my heroes they all took that leap from their bedrooms to the City of Stars. And now they’re all up there smiling, yeah They all found their way in. Somewhere between Des Moines and Omaha well I just had to have a bite to eat. By the time I found a joint and made it back to the station, my ride had already hit the streets. Those folks sure got startled; yeah they got spooked with a terrible sight and sound. With a hot dog in one hand and the other just a flappin’ as I chased that Greyhound down. Two more nights through the hills of Colorado with the rivers just a rushing on. My bones were aching and my mind was a shaking finally standing ‘neath the California sun. Yeah, all of my heroes they took that leap From their playgrounds to the City of Stars. And now they’re all up there smiling, Yeah they had it in their hearts. One day I awoke and I found myself hurt down in the City of Gold. Through dried rivers of sadness I saw people just like me, praying that they’d never grow old. Now in a City of Stars you always get beat in your body and in your mind. But in a City of Stars the only damage you take is when you dreams turn you blind. The Good and the Bad, they all took that leap from their place to the City of Stars. Some are up there smiling, and some just had it in their hearts. Sunny days at last, no time for the past Rock and Rollin’ on every block OH! Send a message to Momma saying There ain’t no stopping babies that were born….born to Rock n Roll.

Early Light 04:05
Mommy, Mommy sometimes it don’t come. You walk and you walk until your feet are growing numb. Over and over things keep a breaking down, until your ruins cover you and you’ve taken lost for found. Hauling dead weight over my back, ‘til you stand as crooked with the questions, that should never, never be asked. In this dark laying naked over you. Well the others don’t like it when you’re trying something new. Away today already thinking you’re a feeling blue, about the things we’re thinking and the secrets that make it all true. Time will tell who is right and who is gone. And in the morning when the sky comes through, I’ll turn to radio on, and turn to look at you and still see you dreaming on. I’m just a mixed up kid growing up to be a mixed up man, with an unsteady mind that could not follow his own plans. Looking down at the time that I’ve spent - not knowing if it’s been wasted, feeling like I’m putting down time - Putting down time with life not tasted. Oh how could it be on the other side? Are there more colours for us to find? How much longer will it take from here? ‘Cause this early morning light haunts me and I think I got the fear.

Springtime, nursery rhymes with a girl like you. You were the only girl who could sway that way could it be true? Your dress has got me blessed. Take off your make up. Lift your face up. Tonight I’m gonna make you smile. Hey June, I found you underneath the moon with a needle and a spoon. Pale face and no grace just an empty shell and wedding bells. Put on your favourite dress. Lift your face up. Put on your make up. Tonight were going out in style. Hey Autumn, I love your daughter. Can I take her out - for a night or two? Lady Baby Blue. December, I can’t remember where I placed her bones – under rock and stone. Your dress has got me blessed. Oh what a mess. I couldn’t help it. The gun was on the shelf that night.

Got two kids dead in the basement. Out on the back porch cleaning my face. On the lawn I lie there wasted. Oh love I’ve never tasted. I read about you in the paper. She said of what she missed could not escape her. Dug two holes in my back garden. Of what I have done cannot be pardoned. Will I let myself take over tonight? Can’t take out the wrong from the right. Let me hide you my love away from the light. Your skin slips and slides all though this house. Your face beats the daylight and chops my wood. All my passengers are wasted on the surface. Flushing out all screams in the morning. Fleshing out too and blood will pass through you. In this house we are all born on wood. Hold on caring for tomorrow we take our leave. In through the valley and up the stream. Am I under this spell again tonight? Taking up the wrong from the right. To take away a fright with somebody’s life. Well I hope to not be taken out into the night.

Naked 05:03
I’m scared to say hello. I’m scared to say goodbye. I’m scared to wake up. I’m scared to sit and die. I’m scared to even try. I get scared just getting by. I’m scared even in this room. With your plaster walls of doom. I’m scared just making sense. I’m not scared of innocence. I’m scared to take control. I’m scared of letting go. I’m scared to see your face. When it loses its place. It’s not funny anymore. It doesn’t work just to ignore. I’ve lost my way somehow. So I’ll take my final bow. Down by the sea. I buried these dreams. Did it for free. There's a funny feeling inside of me. And it’s a rainy day. Take away. I Psyched you out. It's what I’m all about. And you're a silly, silly girl. Found you in my world. Body aches. Bones shake. Blood quakes. You fake. I take. Your love makes a milk shake.

Lovers don’t make only love, and sinners they just don’t undo. Be both and you‘ll be true. All of my memories they are my enemies, they keep me from moving on. Pick up a different song. Making a mess of the man that I am, looking for a fantasy land. Be a dreamer when you can. Inside of us all there’s a little bit of danger, when you find yourself becoming your own stranger. Turn and face the time of aging. Only by only may you go your own ways, only and only is the thing to say. On such a beautiful day. Tonight I will dream of what tomorrow may bring - yesterdays seem to have gone. Could they come round again? Morning’s Abound. I think now we’re found. I got my foot on the ground. Morning’s Abound.

Opus 04:26

about

Recorded mostly at my Baba's house during the summer of 2004 in Oshawa.

Her house backed onto a golf course and I did a lot of audio recording and movie making in and around the property with various friends and family from about 1991-2014.

During the summer months, myself, my cousin Danny and brothers Chris and Peter used to play "Spy on the Golfers" when we were kids and into our early teenage years. "Terrorize" would be a better word actually.... Being well hidden either behind the chest high shrubs that separated the property line or even better, from within the various ravine's situated throughout the actual golf course; we were continually trying to think up new and more creative ways to "tee off" the unsuspecting golfers as they were lining up a shot.

Anyways, these songs have nothing to do with golfing...
